Astrid Bernadotte

Princess of the United Kingdoms of Sweden and Norway
Early 20s · Female
Played by Freddie
FC: Florence Pugh

The youngest daughter of King Oscar II of Sweden and Norway, Astrid has found herself at an impasse: with her brother’s open rebellion against the duties of his station, Astrid has been immediately sent to London to better keep an eye on her successful integration to society and in hopes of arranging a suitable marriage. However, this may prove to be more difficult than anticipated, as Astrid has little to no interest in pursuing a political marriage, is often overcome by her anxiety, and would rather dedicate her life to charity work, her dogs and a good, cheesy romance novel. London may prove to be more life changing than expected, and only time can tell if this princess will bloom like a flower or wilt away under the burden of expectations.

Idris Paget

Marquess of Anglesey, Earl of Uxbridge
30s · Gender
Played by Cadence
FC: Cary Elwes
Played by Cadence

The eclectic and anti-social Marquess of Anglesey, Idris is a man that does not let people know him. He is by nature cautious (even overly-so) and protective of his own. Fiercely loyal, Idris makes for a powerful friend, though his understanding of boundaries and rationality has been skewed drastically from a young age. Recently, Idris is becoming known for the glamorous soirées his family hosts and his attachment to one Jasper Morgan, who is looking to create trouble of his own. The much less charming, much more territorial Marquess trails after his American as if he were a second shadow, which can only mean terrible things to come.

Played by Angel Moore West · Group: Somerset House

Sam had never left New South Wales before, but when word came that Rob had been arrested, he packed what little he had and got on the first train heading south. It didn’t matter that he’d never been to London, didn’t know a soul there, and had no promise of work; all that mattered was rescuing the most important man of his life.

Richard Meyrick

Anglican Parson
30s · Male
Played by Wulver
FC: Alfonso Herrera
Played by Wulver

A welsh boy, born to a physician but raised to know the children of Barons. It was the charity of the Baron Newborough which paid Richard’s way into University, and whilst his elder brother followed their father’s footsteps into medicine, it was piety and theology that Richard decided to study and develop. Now an Ordained Parson of the Anglican Church of England, he serves his Parish as a man of different worlds. In his oldest friends and the respect of his position he finds access to a class of life he was never born to, an educated gentleman who has eaten at fine tables and danced in finer halls. But from the status of his birth and the friends he made through familial ties he is still what he always was, a boy of middle class who knows he will never bear a title nor does he long to, for he has found a love for life and god in far more human areas. But regardless of who he speaks to he is a man grounded in the truth of humanity. He does not damn those with imperfections, or hate those who struggle to walk the path of god in strict adherence. For he sees holiness in action and intention, rather than appearance and political showboating.

Martin Love

Manager and Enforcer of Maggie’s Place
Late 40s · Male
Played by Levi
FC: Andreas Pietschmann
Played by Levi

One doesn’t dream of one day running a brothel full of homosexuals, and indeed this is not the life that Martin ever imagined for himself. After a career as a constable with the London Metropolitan Police was cut short by running afoul of a gang, he was introduced by a mutual associate to Lord Oscar FitzMaurice. With his knowledge of London policing and his connections at Scotland Yard, Martin seemed ideal to help protect the secrecy of Maggie’s Place. Over time, his role has expanded; after the Madame of the brothel abruptly quit, Martin was unceremoniously promoted. He’s done well enough in the role, but the stress of dealing with a large number of young, often catty, men and the nature of the clients the brothel attracts, on top of his normal duties of seeing to protecting the brothel from the attentions of the police force and gangs who think they’re owed protection money, has pushed Martin right to the edge.

Benson Rhodes

Requested by Angel Moore West · Associated with Jasper Thompson Morgan
Late 30s · Male · American · Diplomat
FC: Glen Powell · Up to negotiation (but are you sure? It’s fucking Glen Powell)
Relationship: Friend
Requested by Angel Moore West · Associated with Jasper Thompson Morgan

Benson never figured he would end up being the US’s highest-ranking diplomatic official in London, let alone follow a diplomatic career. A booze-loving, womanizing, impudent, Harvard reject, Benson is the drunkard middle son of Peter Rhodes, an American iron mogul. Peter’s influence and hefty donations guaranteed a place at Harvard for his son; however, it didn’t last. The douchebag was expelled after he was caught running a clandestine boxing ring at one of the universities’ sororities. After a colossal fight and disinheritance threats, Benson was shipped off to Cornell, where he studied to become an Engineer. He graduated with mediocre grades. He spent the next few years as a figurehead at his father’s business: Vice-President of Operations. Meanwhile, Benson’s older brother became Pennsylvania Governor. Which leads us back to London and the unexpected diplomatic career. Truth of the matter, he had no qualifications whatsoever, other than Theodore Morgan, the King of the News, owed Mr. Rhodes a favor. So… Benson’s dad wrote to Theodore, who wrote to the President, who signed Benson’s nomination as Minister Plenipotentiary and US Special Envoy to London.

Louis Bénoliel

Requested by Angel Moore West · Associated with Enzo Esposito
Mid-30s · Male · French · Painter
FC: François Civil · Non-Negotiable
Relationship: Romantic
Requested by Angel Moore West · Associated with Enzo Esposito

The Bourgeois Rebel. Louis is the son of a high-ranking official at the Ministry of Finance. An only child, he grew up pampered by his mother and burdened by his father’s expectations. During the tail end of his teenage years, Louis developed an infatuation with Caravaggio’s work. This fixation, added to his first trips into the artistic outskirts of Paris, made him decide to become a painter. Louis tried to make it in the École des Beaux-Arts, but his stay at the renowned institution was short-lived. He says he was targeted by some of the professors. The professors say he was simply not talented enough. Louis sought inspiration from the works of Courbet and Manet and the writings of Baudelaire. He’s also a secret admirer of Marquis de Sade. At one of the Parisian slums he frequented, he met Enzo. Their connection was immediate. Louis was drawn to the young boy’s androgynous beauty and made him his first-ever muse. Their relationship was intense; Louis demanded total devotion, and Enzo would meet all his whims. But once the boy caught hold of the news that Louis was betrothed to a fellow bourgeois girl, he lost it, and things took a destructive turn. Louis decided to end their partnership. Secluded in the French countryside, Louis didn’t follow through with the wedding promise, earning the shunning of his father. He kept in touch with Enzo through letters and gifts. While he found new muses and kept on painting, he knew — deep down — that none of them compared to the beauty he had captured in Enzo. Now, 3 years after so much heartache and drama, Louis decides to go to London.
